Development Manager - Law Firm - West Yorkshire - £50k - £80k depending on experience

International Law Firm with offices worldwide requires a Development Manager who will be based in their Yorkshire offices. You will be working in a very agile environment, running multiple project simultaneously. You will be responsible for 6 programmers & a project Manager. You will communicate at senior level and translate business requirements into IT requirements. You will have full responsibility of continual development of the case management system, practice management system, document management system and CRM system. You will be analysing the use of the bespoke portfolio of systems and deciding on the long term strategies. A key area of the role will be structuring long term vision & re-defining the development requirements & in the production of the groups IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture, that defines the overall vision for all IT systems, plus researching and assessing emerging technologies making recommendations for their adoption where suitable.

The ideal candidate will be working in a similar role for a top Law Firm, and have strong Project Management and Programme Management skills. You will currently be working at a senior management level with a focus on Software and System Development. It is likely that the successful candidate will have progressed through programmer, analyst and project manager roles in the past. You should also have some or all of the following: an understanding of current development tools - specifically .NET, MS-SQL, ASP, C#, Visual Basic and Sharepoint. It would also be beneficial to have Document Management experience with Interaction, CMS, Filesite or IManage.

The position is based in West Yorkshire, the salary ranges from £50,000 - £80,000 depending on experience.
