A leading Packaging company that specialise in printing small adhesive labels for the cosmetic and food industry are seeking a Flexographic Printer/ Operator
You will work for a large company which has sites all over the UK, they have some very big clients who are very well known and they are a leader in their industry.
You must have at least 2-3 years experience in a the cosmetic or food industry.
The successful candidate will be involved in some of the following:
. Preparation of printing press for running to include full job set up, adjustments of printing plates, ink pressures, feed and tension controls
. Choosing materials and inks required for production jobs being manufactured
. Decide colour sequences and correct anilox use
. Check ink viscosity
. Ensure print registration and print alignment are correct and where necessary correct for specification
. Complete and make ready through press and examine for colour correctness, image, overall quality and uniform ink coverage
. Review, interpret and apply written job specifications and works instructions
. Load on printing material
. Monitor running operation of press in conjunction with the computerised AVT system
. Make adjustments to correct uneven ink distribution on the web.
. Adjust speed of press
. Solve and correct problems that may occur on press
. Make quick and appropriate press adjustments when required to avoid expensive loss of material due to errors and to maintain consistent production quality
. Liaise with maintenance department for any necessary repairs required. Remove and clean plates at the end of a press run
